‘We will remain together in the fight against imperialism’ – Kim
“I’m so grateful you are paying such attention to our visit to Russia,” Kim tells Putin.
“I’m sure we wil remain together in [the] fight against imperialism,” he adds.
Putin welcomes Kim
The Kremlin has released a 20-second clip of the two leaders sitting down for talks.
Putin says to Kim as the meeting begins: “Dear Chairman, I’m very glad to see and host you in Russia. This time, as we agreed, at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.”
The last time they met was in 2019 at Vladivostok, the port city further south.
Putin and Kim tour Russia’s advanced space base
More pictures now are coming through of Putin and Kim’s tour through the space centre.
Putin has told reporters that Kim is interested in developing North Korea’s space programme and that Russia will assist with the North’s satellites.
