Hollywood star praised the Holy Book
Hollywood actor Will Smith recently shared insights into his spiritual journey, highlighting his deep appreciation for the Quran and its impact on his life during a podcast interview with Egyptian journalist Amr Adeeb on the Big Time Podcast.
Smith opened up, stating, “The last two years of my life have been a difficult time and my intention turned inward and I read all the holy books, I’ve read the Quran cover to cover during Ramazan this year. This is the spiritual seeking phase of my life.”
He furthered, “I was shocked how much Moses was mentioned. Through the Quran, I’ve related to Moses and [his] experience.” The actor also shared, “I love the simplicity of the Quran. It’s so clear. It’s crystal clear. It’s hard to walk away with a misunderstanding,” further adding, “The spirit of it was so beautiful and clear.”
The megastar talked about reading all books pertaining to Abrahamic religions, and being taken aback by how continuous they seemed in terms of the storytelling. Smith also shared his admiration for Saudi Arabia, from where the podcast was aired, expressing his love for the country and feeling of belonging during his third visit. He discussed his experiences exploring various cities in Saudi Arabia, including the NEOM project, Jeddah, and Riyadh.
